“Jack” by Sparky Animation clinches prestigious Canadian Award

At the recent Youth Media Alliance (YMA), “Jack”, a co-production between Sparky Animation and PVP, won the Award of Excellence for Best Television Program, Animation, Ages 6-8 Category.

For more than 38 years, Youth Media Alliance has been recognizing the importance of quality television and interactive contents for Canadian kids. At it's annual Awards of Excellence gala, YMA celebrates the outstanding achievements of those breaking ground in the field of children’s screen entertainment in Canada.

“Jack” is a series that is all about encouraging the curiosity of 6 to 9 year olds by having fun while teaching a little science. It follows the adventures of Jack the scientist explorer and his two companions living on a small asteroid orbiting Earth. Unbeknownst to all parents on Earth, he quietly monitors and investigates questions from Earth’s children, and goes on missions to unravel these mysteries.

The series was also nominated for the Prix Gémeaux Award 2012 in the “Best Animated Series” category. For more information, visit Jack on Spark's website.
